I'm a sophomore majoring in Religious Studies and Hispanic Studies at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. I love anything and everything related, however tangentially, to the Czech Republic, The Baby-Sitters Club series, and The Onion. Other interests include politics and current events, social justice issues, feminism, bike-riding, unexplained phenomena and cryptozoology (especially in regards to deep-sea creatures), movies/cinema, and pop culture. My favorite authors are Milan Kundera, Isabel Allende, and Etty Hillesum; I love Rainer Maria Rilke and, like all angsty young hipsters, swear upon his Letters to a Young Poet. My favorite ice-cream flavor is spumoni...or mandarin chocolate. Oh, don't make me choose! My favorite food is--to quote Other Jessica--the sweet taste of being misunderstood.
